Cannabidiol (CBD) is one more than 100 known phytocannabinoids and terpenes known to exist within the plants from the members of the Cannabis species (including Cannabis Sativa, Cannabis Indica, and Cannabis Ruderalis).

These phytocannabinoids are exist in different concentrations in different cultivars of cannabis. Most Industrial Hemp strains are grown to meet the maximum level of 0.3% total Delta-9 THC. This also means that most Industrial Hemp strains have Cannabidiol (CBD) as the most common cannabinoid.

With any Broad Spectrum or CBD Isolate product we sell, you can count on the product having less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC, as required by law. With Full Spectrum products, you still have the limitation of 0.3% Delta-9 THC, but the possibility of failing a drug test due to the THC metabolites increases. Although most people will not fail a drug test at this concentration, it’s still possible and the products should be avoided if you are required by DOT, workplace or similar to remain completely free of THC.

Cannabinoids

CBD or Cannabidiol is a non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid. Some of the other cannabinoids, such as Delta-9 THC are intoxicating in higher concentrations. All Full Spectrum CBD products sold by NYC CBD Source are tested to be under 0.3% (DWT) of D9-THC. It’s extremely unlikely for anyone to get intoxicated with Full Spectrum CBD. With Isolated CBD products, which contain undetectable levels of Delta-9 THC, it is nearly impossible to get enough THC to feel intoxicated.

Absolutely! The US Farm Bill (2018) made the remainder of products from Industrial Hemp legal in the United States. Individual States may enact legislation that make CBD and similar products illegal. Please check the status of your State before ordering.

Many people believe that CBD and other phytocannabinoids are not components of “real weed”. In fact, real weed (also known as Cannabis Sativa OR Cannabis Indica) is also the same genus and species as regular Industrial Hemp. The key difference is that the plant that many people enjoy for recreational and medical cannabis usage is typically raise (bred) to be higher in THC than the other phytocannabinoids (like CBD).

We often use the example of a Great Dane and a Toy Poodle. They are both dogs (Canis lupus familiaris) yes, when we examine the two, we see they are quite different in many ways. The same holds true for hemp and marijuana.

CBD and other phytocannabinoids are proven to be beneficial to human health and are key players in the endocannabinoid system (like the nervous system and skeletal system). People who consume only Delta-9 THC are missing out on a host of helpful compounds.

Phytocannabinoids (meaning cannabinboids derived from plants) are amazing matches to the human endocannabinoid system (ECS). Endogenous cannabinoids (also known as endocannabinoids) are cannabinoids that originate within the human body.

Endocannabinoids are naturally occurring substances that activate the same receptor sites as phytocannabinoids from the cannabis plant.

It’s not likely. We have encountered extremely high dose (such as One Source Botanicals Ultra Strength 7200mg CBD) which are used to combat pain and aches with many customers safely. Even as maligned as THC products may be, there is no documented death associated with cannabis overdosing. Nonetheless, we always recommend that our customers exercise caution and follow the advice of your experienced medical professional or cannabis health consultant.
